Dungeons & Dragons vintage treasures - part 3

This one for sure is a treasure.
I mean when I first saw it... I was like : "WTF...ya kiddin me o' what ?"
But there was no kidding... it was an :

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition TRIVIA GAME

Really like any trivial pursuit, without the board tho. It uses a system of coins representing your character's (wizard, rogue, warrior, priest or monster) amount of HP. I always liked trivia games but mixed with a bit of a system of battle board-game (you can hit but also heal your wounds), that's just huge.
ok, ok, am a bit too euphoric here...(>.<)

Anyway, imo, it's a great item, really fun to play. I wish it would have been be updated by the addition of extensions, but sadly none exists (to my knowledge).

It's dated 1991, product by TSR under ref. 1069.
ISBN 1-56076-058-3
Contains 600 questions divided into 5 levels of difficulty.
10 character cards. 60 markers.

Question lvl 3 : There are two mains categories of golems. what are those categories, and which golems belong to each one ?
Answer : Greater and lesser. Greater : stone and iron. Lesser : flesh and clay. MC

Question lvl 5 : What are the properties of a dull gray ioun stone ?

D&D View-master reels !

First of all I have to say that I wasn't a great fan of the anime serie for years. (but Rogull72 with his amazing dedicated blog -that sadly disappeared circa 2018 from the web T_T - changed my opinion. :D)
I long ago decided that my D&D collections would not suffer any item linked to it as I considered it was too far away from the RPG... and as well, the cartoon itself was not one of my favourites when I was kiddo... I liked the french version of the song of the opening tho... It still happens that I find myself whistling it from time to time. XD

But anyway... view-master reels !!! ...any rule suffers exceptions.
(yeah, it's good to let the nostalgia decides sometimes :P)
Just for the fun of using a view-master again I decided to get THAT asap.
(Meaning also that i had to get a view-master too...viva ebay... XD)

For those having no idea of what a view-master is or how it works, you can have a look here.

These reels (total of 3) are dated 1983 - entitled :

"DUNGEONS & DRAGONS - Castle Venger".
Stock N° 4213 - 4046

It depicts in 21 pictures the story of Strongheart Good Paladin (heh...) and his companions attacking Venger's castle to free the kingdom of its curse... blablabla... after some fights with orcs and elemental, the fellowship will defeat Venger & Tiamat (Ya know... the 5-chromatic-headed dragon Goddess) who have no other choice but to flee...(heh²...)
All (2D) pictures were avaiblable on Rogull72's blog until 2018... but what's been on the net remains on the net heh and lately some YouTuber created a video of the full story from the Internet Archive (Using my pict above btw o_O).

   Who needs a 3D TV when ya can have a view-master ? o____O;

Dungeons & Dragons vintage treasures - part 1

Am a D&D collector, no doubt. The reason why I start this blog today. I'll try to give full lists of specifics items under offical D&D (and affiliated) license in order to help some other crazy guys like me to complete their compulsive quests... :P

My main collections within the D&D universe are :
Comics, Novels (french vers.), Video games, Puzzles, Miniatures & Cards

But during the nights spent on the web looking for some items to complete any of these, I somehow felt (ouch !) on some uncommon or at least unexpected incredibly useless vintage licensed goods that I couldn't resist to acquire...

Today let me present ya the superb (ergh...) :

"Dragonlance Baseball Cap"...

Yeah... a baseball cap... that went out in 1994. Not much to say... it's a cheap black & red cap with the Dragonlance logo badly positioned on its front. It's adjustable... woohoo ! (usual plastic clips on the back).

Totally useless... somehow unique... a must-to-have ! XD

Have no doubt, this is an official product as confirmed by the inside label. And it is not the Dragonlance cloth patch that would have been put on a cap as it is a fully sewed logo, 10 or 20% larger than the patch one.
